John Harmon Grows Influence of the African American CoC NJ

John E. Harmon, Sr. IOM is the Founder, President, and CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ). He has held this position since 2007, transforming the AACCNJ into a proactive diversity advocacy organization. The AACCNJ offers innovative workshops like the "Small Business Bonding Program," and Harmon personally hosts the weekly radio show "The empowerment Hour." The show enables anyone to take advantage of his motivational advice and knowledge.

The information Harmon shares today, as the leader of the AACCNJ, reflects a rich history of assisting diverse businesses. Prior to joining the AACCNJ, Harmon was the President and CEO of the Metropolitan Trenton African American Chamber of Commerce. Under his leadership, there was substantial membership growth and the forging of important alliances with business and diversity advocacy organizations that now benefit the AACCNJ. Harmon tirelessly works with community, state, and national organizations as a board member and was included on the list of the South Jersey Journal's "Twenty-five Most Influential African Americans in New Jersey."
