Justin Nelson is the co-founder and president of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). He has led the NGLCC to become the nation's business voice of the LGBT community, representing 1.4 million LGBT business owners across the U.S. With Nelson's leadership, the NGLCC has become the largest LGBT economic advocacy and business development organization in the world with more than a dozen international affiliates. He is a recognized leader who regularly advises senior leaders at the White House, and in Congress and global corporations on building business opportunities for LGBT-inclusive supplier diversity programs.
The NGLCC has been responsible for major victories for the LGBT business community, including the nation's first inclusion of LGBT suppliers in contracting opportunities with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Nelson led his team in the creation of the National Business Inclusion Consortium which advocates for the business interests of all diverse business communities. The NGLCC is also the exclusive certifying body for LGBT-owned businesses. Nelson has won numerous awards for his efforts, including the 2014 Vanguard Award from the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
