Alisa Bornstein is the Vice President and CPO for European Sourcing at Visa and is credited with shaping the long-term vision for value creation through the sourcing function. Under her leadership, Sourcing in Europe has undergone a significant transformation, becoming strategic and collaborative with the business and suppliers to deliver value above and beyond cost savings. Alisa is passionate about further strengthening all relationships including stakeholders and colleagues around the world, to embed Sustainability and Diversity principles in all they do.
One of the key best practices deployed by Alisa include developing the vision and strategy for supplier management, shifting from transactional to strategic and inclusive relationships, cooperating with colleagues and suppliers to jointly deliver the vision. She strives to strengthen partnerships with suppliers to become their customer of choice.
Alisa and her team have created a multi-year ESG strategy and programme with aspiration to use the power of the supply chain to make an impact and tangible differences in the local communities where Visa Europe operate. Alisa also focuses on enhancing social impact in support of Visa’s initiatives like the Small & Micro Businesses program.
