Chip Patrick is the Chief Procurement Officer at Equitable. Previously, he has led several organizations through M&A transitions in the financial services industry. During these transactions, his organizations learned unknown facets of their business, particularly with critical suppliers. By understanding the effects of the transactions in multiple supplier relationships critical to the organization, those teams were able to manage the complexities and keep conducting uninterrupted business for customers. Chip considers procurement uniquely positioned to provide an enterprise view and brings that experience to Equitable.
Chip drives a culture of openness and creativity when it comes to third-party providers, shaking up stagnant processes, relationships, and technologies. He has developed robust Supplier Diversity Programs to access new skills and talents to better tackle business challenges. Chip leverages diverse suppliers to perform functions more efficiently and with better quality than can be done internally. Procurement’s role in helping define and ensure the best solutions are implemented, and that suppliers deliver quality products or services in support of customers, is the lynchpin to Supplier Lifecycle success.
