Ricoh’s Christina Morrow Demonstrates Supplier Diversity Value Throughout the Organization


Christina Morrow, Director, Supplier Relationship Management for Ricoh USA, created the Supplier Diversity Policy, which mandates the inclusion of diverse suppliers in the procurement process. Her team partners with key diversity suppliers to sponsor conference networking events, enabling the Sales organization to connect with new and existing customers and create new supplier opportunities. Christina educates and builds support among Sales organization members for recognizing the importance of supplier diversity as part of the selling and business relationship process. This led to the inclusion of diverse sub-contractors in RFP and RFI responses, resulting in additional business for Ricoh and diverse small businesses while positively impacting the local economy. Christina co-leads the Ricoh Diversity & Inclusion Council, where she directly impacts Ricoh’s commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Through collaboration with business stakeholders and executive leadership, Christina increased awareness that supplier inclusion creates value for customers and provides diverse business opportunities. She developed a policy on diversity and inclusion training for onboarding; attends industry-sponsored matchmaking, networking, and customer events; and maintains strong internal and external communication through the employee newsletter, intranet, and Diversity Business Resource Councils.
