Dana Cerrito, Vice President, Global Supplier Diversity at State Street, employs a foundational blueprint for a successful Supplier Diversity program that includes a top-down commitment, fair and equitable access to bidding, equitable scoring and awards, methods to track and analyze progress, and development of strong business partners. She and her team created an online resource hub for both current and prospective suppliers. Additionally, Dana launched State Street’s Tier 2 program to increase State Street’s visibility into diversity down the supply chain.
Technology tools play an instrumental role in program management and performance tracking, and Dana led the implementation of a trusted third-party platform to support the expansion of Tier 2. She is most proud of building the Tier 2 program from the ground up, and ensuring that a commitment to diversity from all suppliers is represented in a fair and equitable procurement process at State Street.
