As the Senior Manager of Vendor Diversity for Arrow Electronics, Deborah Mackins is most proud of having the opportunity to be a part of organizations and teams that advocated and supported diverse suppliers during times of unprecedented challenges. She stays current on the latest trends to help ensure she can guide decision-makers and suppliers properly. Deborah has engaged with suppliers to help them pivot, innovate, and transform as needed to thrive. She mentors suppliers and benchmarks successful supplier diversity programs.
To develop a successful supplier diversity program, Deborah has collaborated with her corporate leaders to help ensure supplier diversity is both a key component of the DEI strategy and a part of employees’ performance metrics. She has stood-up and managed Supplier Diversity programs, developed multi-year strategic roadmaps that include goals, KPIs, training, and aligning programs with the company’s business strategy and culture. Deborah utilizes a key best practice of building sustainable relationships between key internal decision-makers and small and diverse-owned business ecosystems.
