Florencia Stanfield Empowers ERGs at Vitesco Technologies


Leading the Global Strategic Plan for growth of diverse spend and economic inclusion, Florencia Stanfield, former Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at Vitesco Technologies and now Global Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for parent company Schaeffler AG, is immensely proud of the Employee Resource Groups that foster a diverse and inclusive culture. She currently leads a network of six global ERGs and four regional ones. The ERGs play a critical role in promoting diversity and inclusion by organizing events and initiatives to celebrate a diverse workforce, providing insights to shape organizational policies and procedures, and supporting the company’s branding through community-related activities and connections. ERGs also drive innovation and play a key role in talent development.

Florencia helps smaller and diverse suppliers develop and grow with Vitesco, and support a circular economy in the industry and the company. Her team has participated in CADIA’s RevUp event, a supplier diversity-focused panel discussion to exchange ideas with other entities, and participated in the Michigan MSDC InFuse Mentoring Program. Florencia’s best practices include building relationships, strategic planning aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values, implementing regular diversity and inclusion training, and establishing measurement and accountability processes.
