Jaspreet Singh, Vice President Corporate Services for DTE Energy, is making supplier diversity a standard way of doing business. Under his leadership, diverse suppliers are included in every bid opportunity, and the entire company is committed to expanding the capabilities of its existing diverse supply base. The goal is to spend $1 billion with certified diverse suppliers by 2026.
Jaspreet supports and engages local communities and, in 2023, received the RESULTS Mentoring’s Community Award for supporting an underserved urban youth population.
To set, meet, and exceed diverse supplier goals, Jaspreet works with the company’s top leaders and supports DTE’s involvement in multiple advocacy organizations, like the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council. He is a leading member of DTE’s enterprise-wide Inclusion and Diversity Oversight Committee.
Jaspreet attributes his success to gaining top executive support and buy-in, elevating diverse suppliers through mentoring, and leveraging the Supplier Diversity Advisory Council to strengthen partnerships between DTE, suppliers, and community leaders. Jaspreet serves on the board of directors for two organizations in the Detroit area – Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion (MRDI) and Global Ties Detroit.
