Kenneth Mathies Establishes Successful Office of DE&I at AAA - The Auto Club Group


Kenneth Mathies, Vice President, Chief Diversity Officer at AAA - The Auto Club Group (ACG), established the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Accomplishments include implementing a 5-year DE&I corporate strategy complete with focused pillars, strategic drivers, and comprehensive metrics\measurements. ODE&I established Employee Resource Group (ERG) communities (22% of total workforce), implemented a virtual DE&I campus, educational curriculums, technology portals for ERG communities, metrics\measurement, and Tier 1\Tier 2 supplier diversity management. He credits the support of ACG’s President\CEO and the Board of Directors as key essentials to the success of DE&I strategic initiatives.

The Auto Club Group engages with eight supplier diversity councils and multiple ethnic chambers across a 14-state footprint. The recent aggregate diversity spend set record totals for the organization. Most recently, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) organization was created within the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The CSR organization supports non-profit organizations and institutions of higher education, to address social, economic, education & literacy disparities in underserved communities.
