Kimberly Duck is the Director, Supplier Diversity at BP America, Inc. She manages strategic, innovative processes to influence diverse supplier inclusion in Upstream businesses in BP. Kimberly uses a "one team" approach that promotes creative effort through collaboration. Kimberly and the supplier diversity team’s strategy focuses on fully understanding the products, services, and marketability of the existing diverse supply base and those with potential to do future business. She uses this intelligence to create avenues for diverse suppliers to learn the best ways to do business in BP.
Providing more data points of information about the business to suppliers has enabled them to better chart their course and be prepared for BP opportunities. The challenge in such a rapidly changing business has been making sure all BP stakeholders are aligned regarding diverse supplier inclusion. She delivers guidance and direction procurement needs as well as capable diverse suppliers able to provide real value.
