Leviticous “Vic” Cleveland is the Manager of the Supplier Diversity at CenterPoint Energy. He is proud of the company’s longstanding commitment to Supplier Diversity and the executive-level support that enables him to boldly champion opportunities for diverse-owned businesses and communities.
Vic leads a team that is focused on strategically enhancing the impact of CenterPoint’s Supplier Diversity program amidst this new era of increased concentration on economic equity and social justice. When pressed to simplify his vision in a tagline, Vic offers that they are “enhancing Supplier Diversity through the Power of A.I., Accountability & Intentionality.”
That is, he relaunched their Tier 2 program with an increased focus on raising Prime suppliers’ accountability to provide access and opportunities to small, diverse suppliers. This includes creating an in-house, monthly supplier forum to facilitate B2B connections and the subsequent follow-up. He is also leading the effort to be more intentional toward engaging businesses in communities of Color.
Vic is a disciple of the continuous improvement philosophy. As such, he continues to pursue new and novel ways to make an impact in the industry and to make a difference in the community.
