As Senior Manager, DEI Supplier Diversity, Nissan Group of the Americas, Marcella McCullough launched the new Nissan Supplier Diversity Development and Mentoring Program, relying on the expertise of the Supplier Diversity Manager. The program builds relationships, optimizes collaborations with diverse suppliers, and catalyzes growing supply chain diversity with high-performing suppliers delivering heightened quality goods and services. The program relies on subject matter experts and external suppliers to ensure the curriculum is implemented and tracked with monthly progress reports.
As a strategist, Marcella collaborates with the Senior Director of Purchasing to develop supplier diversity strategies and identify future opportunities for diverse suppliers. She also works with the key Commodity Champions and various external diverse supplier advocacy groups. Marcella was instrumental in the launch of an internal web-based training course on the critical value-producing elements of supplier diversity. She garners the support of Tier 1 suppliers. The Supplier Diversity Workstream Group has 10 Tier 1 participating suppliers engaged in identifying and advocating for qualified diverse suppliers, sharing best practices, and connecting for future sourcing opportunities.
