Serving as the Senior vice President, Procurement and Supplier Diversity Manager for Regions Bank, Marcus Lundy uses his position to champion change throughout the company, by helping organizational leaders accept looking at procurement spend through a diversity lens. He is a founding member of a group called VITAL, with members who are large, influential employers in the Birmingham-metro area. VITAL shares information, best practices, and accountability around supplier diversity, and also works with local government to bring consistency, clarity and impact to diversity efforts. Marcus set a goal to become the most vocal and consistent advocate for businesses to engage with a diverse supplier base.
Marcus regularly holds data-driven, fact-based discussions with leaders, bankers and suppliers regarding supplier diversity and inclusive procurement, much of the data supplied by Supplier.io and the Financial Services Roundtable for Supplier Diversity. He is striving to build champions of Supplier Diversity because they are willing to speak out and lift efforts across the company. Marcus is also developing allies and advocates who can speak with similar data, expertise, and passion about Supplier Diversity.
