Marleitha G. Williams is the supplier diversity program manager for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board). She ensures that the Board complies with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, as it relates to the inclusion of minority-owned and women-owned businesses in the Board’s acquisition process. Ms. Williams authors the procurement section of a report submitted annually to Congress (as required by Dodd-Frank) in which she highlights the successes and challenges of fostering diversity in the Board’s procurement practices.
In her role as program manager, she develops networks, builds broad alliances, and collaborates on sustainable relationships with a diverse pool of businesses, professional organizations, and associations. Through these efforts, Ms. Williams has increased the participation of diverse businesses in the acquisition process. In addition, with respect to supplier diversity, she briefs the agency’s leadership on useful tools and resources, trains staff on policies, and oversees the organizational community.
