As the Executive Director for the CVS Health Supplier Diversity team, Monette Knapik leads internal programs supporting supplier diversity and believes that when diverse and small businesses thrive, so do communities. Her best practices include partnering with internal teams like Enterprise Procurement and Strategic Sourcing. She collaborates with local and national colleges and universities, including HBCUs, to offer skill development workshops to diverse businesses through the CVS Health Executive Learning Series. Monette sparks mentorship opportunities through the CVS Health Supplier Diversity Mentorship Program, and her team hosts the Annual Supplier Diversity Showcase. She also holds numerous town halls each year to promote supplier diversity.
Monette works with business units across the enterprise to integrate supplier diversity into procurement activities and expand business opportunities for diverse businesses. Her team has intentionally engaged sourcing partners and merchandising category management colleagues to ensure diverse product representation. CVS leadership is fully committed to DEI, as demonstrated through inclusive policies and procedures and by ensuring the allocation of adequate resources for DEI programs and networking opportunities.
