Instrumental in the induction of CVS Health into the Billion Dollar Roundtable, Monette’s elements of success include strong top-down support from leadership and the continual growth of both internal and external relationships. Regular collaboration with individual enterprise business units creates an appreciation for distinct needs and assists in creating tailored goals and success metrics. Continual relationship building, providing educational and development opportunities (E.g. Executive Learning Series in partnership with Roger Williams University, HBCU Business Development and Community Engagement Program, Supplier Diversity in Merchandising), and an eye towards constant refinement and evolution of process moves the needle towards new opportunities.
Monette is influential in CVS Health’s advocacy for public policy addressing root causes of systemic inequalities and barriers to diverse individuals, families, and communities. Her belief in the impact of supplier diversity is inspiration to push boundaries, understanding that these efforts have a positive impact on wages, job creation, and communities. Through her work, she is building on CVS Health’s commitment to addressing inequalities faced by Black and other disenfranchised people.
