As Global Supplier Diversity Lead at Cargill, Natalie McGrady looks beyond spend to inclusiveness in supplier outreach and bidding. She measures inclusion in bidding and how active a category/buying team is in engaging with her team for support. Natalie leads the Top-to-Top program, which guarantees 10-20 diverse suppliers a yearly business review with key internal decision-makers. The review highlights performance and improvement areas, leading to new opportunities for suppliers and organic growth of Cargill’s diverse supplier base.
Natalie is currently expanding the Top-to-Top program to include SupplyHive, a 360-degree performance review for top diverse suppliers. SupplyHive uses AI to generate talking points and identify corrective actions based on performance feedback. Natalie also uses PowerBI for Data consolidation and review and has implemented several Diverse Supplier Dashboards, including one for the Black Farmer Equity initiative. This helps suppliers grow and expand their potential with Cargill. She has the full support of C-suite and global leaders in procurement, and is expanding her team.
