In her role as the Head of Supplier Diversity & Supply Chain Management Sustainability at Wells Fargo, Priscilla Wallace maintains and fosters the integration of diverse supplier options into procurement strategies. The successful program is built on the mission of the company, which is to satisfy the financial needs of customers. Priscilla strives to ensure the Supplier Diversity Program adds value to the organization by developing a supply base that mirrors the customers and communities served. She credits her ability to create a world-class Supplier Diversity Program with the support of organizational leaders, her team, and collaborators across the enterprise. Wells Fargo understands that its success stems from diverse perspectives, and the value placed on diversity, equity, and inclusion in its business. In 2021, procurement spend with diverse suppliers exceeded $1 billion for the eight consecutive year. For 2022, Wells Fargo is “striving” toward reaching its goal of spending another billion dollars and more with diverse suppliers.
Making a difference in the lives of so many entrepreneurs is the source of Priscilla’s inspiration. She is proud of the suppliers innovation, creativity, and willingness to better their communities. In 2021 during the economic downturn, Wells Fargo sponsored and engaged 817 diverse suppliers in their capacity and expertise development programs. These programs are aimed at strengthening its supplier base and increasing the economic impact that its suppliers have on their communities. The program educated the suppliers on how to pivot, retool, and innovate their businesses. Her team is also responsible for integrating and aligning with corporate ESG/sustainability strategies to minimize supply chain risks.
