Rona Fourte assumed the role of leading Business Diversity efforts for United Airlines as part of Global Community Engagement in 2019, bringing a wealth of experience in supplier diversity and inclusion from her work in large corporations and at the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council. She is proud of the United Airlines ‘We Stand United’ Collaborative Action Team and the work it has collectively accomplished in the supplier diversity space. The executive led team has galvanized the organization around making sustainable impact in all areas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, including supplier diversity. Successes include formalizing an annual e-learning module on the business case and value of Supplier Diversity and mobilizing a group of cross functional executive appointed stakeholders to lead Supplier Diversity performance within their divisions. The business led approach has enhanced the execution of Supplier Diversity at United Airlines.
Rona works with an expanded group of leaders and stakeholders as an important strategy for championing supplier inclusion and driving accountability. This shift enables her and her team to focus on identifying, mentoring, and growing more diverse suppliers for business needs.
