Rondu Vincent, Executive Director, Global Supplier Diversity & Sustainability for Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), leads the program responsible for internal and external supplier diversity, community outreach and strategy alignment with BMS’s Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Organization. Rondu is also responsible for supporting the company’s sustainable procurement goals, including standards for suppliers involving social responsibility, environmental stewardship, ethical practices and governance.
Rondu has over two decades of experience in procurement and supplier diversity, and in the last eight years he has transformed BMS’s global Supplier Diversity Program into a world-class operation, making inclusion of diverse and small suppliers a shared objective across the enterprise. His achievements include expansion in multiple international markets, the company’s 2020 goal to spend $1Billion with Black- and diverse-owned businesses by 2025 and achieving it 3 years ahead of schedule. Under his leadership, BMS continues to heavily invest in supplier development and new payment terms (for those who qualify), through its supplier liquidity program started during the pandemic. More recently Rondu revolutionized the approach to BMS sponsoring and attending diversity conferences, implementing activations that lead to robust ROI from supplier meetings.
Additionally, Rondu hosted an inaugural BMS Supplier Sustainability Summit in 2022, engaging with key suppliers and targeting solutions for BMS’s enterprise sustainability agenda.
