Allen Gray is Director of Corporate Supplier Diversity and Manager of Purchasing Systems and Operations Specialists for Navistar, Inc. As a leader committed to developing strategic relationships with MWBE businesses, he deals with the challenges of finding and training diverse suppliers. He developed Navistar’s “Diversity 101” training, which is now a requirement for Navistar’s purchasing team.

Allen helped increase spend on diversity businesses throughout his time at Navistar, with increases as high as 22 percent. To help smaller companies learn how major corporations do business, Allen created partnership opportunities between Tier 1 and Tier II suppliers and provided training for new members through his use of Diversity Champions and Coordinators.

Allen received the Sharing Success Award at the 2010 Chicago Minority Opportunity Fair, presented by The CMSDC and the MBEIC. It is presented to an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the growth and development of the minority business community.
