As the Vice President in Global Sourcing heading up the Supplier Development Office, Claire Scanlon was instrumental in creating and developing the program for BNY Mellon. The Supplier Development Office is responsible for promoting the use of MWBE businesses throughout the company and also serves to promote the financial viability and stability of many of those same companies.
Her work includes various levels of committee memberships and officer roles in various organizations including the NYNJ Council, the National Minority Business Council, the National Associate of Veteran Business, the National Association of Women Business Owners and the UDS Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Claire also serves as Chair of the Advisory Committee for the National Minority Business Council and Corporate Chair for the NYNJ Council’s IT Sector Group.
Claire has also received the NYC Neighborhood Achievement Awards as the MWBE Advocate 2011 from Mayor Bloomberg and serves as the MWBE Advocate for the Department of Small Business Services’ Corporate Alliance Program.
