As the Executive Director for Supplier Diversity with Alcatel-Lucent, Lynn Scott knows that locating the right supplier for the opportunities available is a key and significant step in any supplier diversity program. The Procurement and Supplier Diversity teams are responsible for, not only finding that right supplier, but also ensuring that the business selected is able to support the requirements of the task at hand. By mentoring and counselling potential MWBE businesses before and after the bid process, Lynn is better able to ensure that both parties enjoy a mutually profitable relationship.

With almost 17 percent of all spending by Alcatel-Lucent being focused on the MWBE sector, Lynn has helped the company achieve the prestigious Circle of Excellence award from the American Institute of Diversity and Commerce (AIDC). Lynn has also directly participated as a leader in more than ten different diversity councils where she has been able to explain the opportunities available with Alcatel-Lucent and the requirements needed to become one of their key partners.
