As the Supplier Diversity Manager for the Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), Susan Hogan has helped to more than quintuple the expenditures on MWBE businesses – a growth of over 445 percent. This remarkable accomplishment has been made possible due to Susan’s focus on building an educated internal procurement organization. She has found that by ensuring her internal procurement team is appropriately skilled with the right tools and resources, they are more proactive in including MWBEs in their procurement process. This has resulted in a spend of $201 million in 2009 and an even greater amount - $216 million - in 2010.
As the Vice Chairperson of the NY / NJ Minority Supplier Development Council Inc. Board of Directors, Susan has received a host of national and international awards for her commitment towards the inclusion of MWBE businesses. Some of her most notable awards include the NY/NJ Minority Supplier Development Council - 2009 Coordinator of the Year Award, Minority Business News USA – “Women Who Mean Business Award” and the Diversity Star Award & 2009 Women of Power Impacting Supplier Diversity Award.
