Nominated as the Minority Business Advocate of the Year by the NY-NY Minority Supplier Development Council, Susan Pettit has been associated with Avis for over 20 years. As the Senior Procurement Specialist with Avis, Susan has worked closely with the Strategic Business & Diversity Relations unit to infuse certified disadvantaged, minority and woman-owned businesses into the supplier chain.

Susan’s role is to coordinate outreach activities designed to increase supplier diversity and community relations both nationally and locally. She is an active member of a number of local Supplier Advocacy organizations throughout the New York Metropolitan area, and participates in various national and regional Supplier Advocacy events throughout the United States.

Thanks to Susan’s efforts, Avis has been honored by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as one of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises for 11 consecutive years. She has also helped Avis maintain its status as a member of the Billion Dollar Roundtable.
