This team approach has driven some very significant gains in the MWBE sector to include spend of over $167 million in 2010 alone.

While the challenges of the current economic climate have been significant, MPC has surmounted these by closely monitoring suppliers and identifying issues early. This proactive approach warded off MWBE supplier attrition. In addition, MPC has incorporated supplier diversity as a core value.

MPC drives MWBE capacity building and inclusion by focusing on initiatives that engage their business partners and provide MWBE suppliers face time with key decision makers. Further, by embedding supplier diversity into our procurement strategy, they have on-boarded diverse suppliers that fit MPC’s core business needs.
