Lorrinda Gray-Davis is Perini Building's first director of diversity development. Since Gray- Davis was hired in 2005, the company has emerged as a leader in diversity initiatives and has one of the most comprehensive diversity programs in the construction industry. In her role. Gray-Davis is responsible for expanding and managing the company's diversity efforts. She oversees a staff of six full-time employees, along with Vice Chairman Dick Rizzo, who allocates over 50% of his time to ensure the success of diversity development.

Between 2006 and January 2008, Perini awarded over $782 million in construction contracts to 349 minority and women-owned businesses. Gray-Davis has developed training programs for MWBEs to facilitate the company, which builds projects with budgets of $350 million to over $1 billion. She has also implemented innovative programs to recruit and educate MWBEs about project opportunities, including workshops and mentoring, providing candid feedback with the aim of fostering long-term relationships.
