Angela Curley is the Sr. Manager, corporate diversity & inclusion and social progress at Henkel Corporation. She has transformed the supplier diversity program into one considered best-in-class by the MMSDC. She coordinated the first corporate council for diversity and inclusion and serves as a liaison for Henkel’s employee resource groups. Henkel was recently honored as a first runner-up for the prestigious Chrysler Supplier Diversity Award. Angela attributes the doubling of sales with Chrysler partly to the supplier diversity efforts. She works closely with senior leadership who advocate internally for MWBEs.

Using an empathetic leadership style, Angela has built a robust supplier diversity program by using a set of key best practices that include establishing a supplier diversity council sub group called the supplier diversity committee, which is composed of “Ambassadors,” developing ongoing matchmaking opportunities, attending external supplier diversity events, and regularly conducting internal and external communication activities. She also established KPIs and a monthly review process to assess progress toward goals.
