She coaches, educates, advocates and connects. Her passion for promoting and supporting the growth of diverse businesses aligns with one of the core values of Herman Miller — inclusiveness and diversity. With her team, Kavy has been instrumental in helping the company live up to this aspiration by meeting the challenge of finding creative ways to connect diverse small businesses with internal and external corporate partners.

Kavy has also connected the supplier diversity program to the company’s inclusiveness resource teams to create awareness and improve collective performance. She worked with several to hold events to learn about the struggles of small, minority and veteran businesses; share what drives their success; and help promote connections. She is actively involved with her community and develops outreach events to engage with diverse business concerns.
