Michael Terrell, Group Director of Procurement Operations for North America for The Coca-Cola Company, counts among his achievements the onboarding of a minority-owned electrical company as an electrical contractor for one of Coca-Cola's Syrup Plants. By giving the minority-owned business the opportunity to work with them, Coca-Cola was ensured high-quality electrical services, and the supplier gained access to the Coca-Cola network. Michael is the President of Empowered for Life, a Christian-based organization focused on developing youth and entrepreneurship. He is the Chair of the Corporate Advisory Council for the NAACP State of Georgia. He also supports the Black Employee Network at Coca-Cola.
Within Coca-Cola, Michael is a thought leader and supporter of women and minority owned businesses. He collaborates with Supplier Diversity team and is part of the Global Diversity and Inclusion network at Coca-Cola. Michael works to help set strategic priorities, promote diversity and inclusion practices, and monitor progress. A robust Supplier Diversity Program is a significant focus area for procurement. To ensure accountability, diversity metrics are tracked and reported for transparency. Michael’s leadership skills include establishing a clear vision, communicating goals, ensuring talent management practices foster diversity, and supporting employee training and development.
