Egwu Nwankpah Builds Supplier Diversity Program on Four Pillars at Cushman & Wakefield


Egwu Nwankpah is the Global Head of Supplier Diversity and Responsible Sourcing at Cushman & Wakefield. He developed and established the entire formal Global Supplier Diversity Program, created strategic supplier diversity partnerships, established spend analytics tools, launched a supplier registration portal, and hosts the annual Supplier Diversity Day Virtual Celebration. The Supplier Diversity Day event has engaged thousands of colleagues, partners, and CRE industry members across Brazil, England, India, and the U.S. He also launched the internal Supplier Diversity Advisory Council (SDAC) comprised of senior leaders At Cushman & Wakefield and pioneered the SDAC Buddy Program to engage individual diverse-owned suppliers formally and closely with the executive team.

Nwankpah enacted an innovative approach to the relationships with diverse suppliers worldwide, using four strategic pillars he created as the foundation for the Cushman & Wakefield Supplier Diversity Program. The strategic pillars are Development and Advocacy, Integrated Business Support, Optimized Diverse Spend Reporting, and Brand Management. His success in building and growing the supplier diversity program was driven by priorities that include leveraging new data capabilities, increasing the impact of diverse spend, developing inclusive contract language, promoting shared goals across all business lines, establishing a Tier II reporting strategy, and engaging the international and local communities. As one of Cushman & Wakefield’s ESG leaders he created and facilitated changes to better serve client ESG needs in relation to procurement decisions.
