Babson College’s Jerry Epps Builds Culture of Intent Through Supplier Diversity


Jerry Epps is the Director of Vendor Diversity for Babson College, building a supplier diversity program from the ground up. He is focused on successfully transforming the organizational culture toward integrating the review of corporate values of diversity and multiculturalism, analyzing, coordinating, and communicating the development of mutually beneficial contracts with suppliers. He has created the Babson College Supplier Diversity Mission Statement and Babson College Supplier Diversity Program, customized DEI spend reporting, and updated the process of creating a supplier in the Workday program to capture more data. DEI language has been added to the RFP process.

Babson College is fully committed to providing all qualified diverse suppliers equal opportunity. Jerry facilitates tangible contract opportunities that add value to the college, stakeholders, and businesses participating in the Supplier Diversity Program. His team is fully engaged in the supplier diversity community and assists and mentors small and diverse suppliers in maneuvering through the industry, helping them through the diverse supplier certification program. Jerry strives to build a culture of intention through supplier diversity to help close the racial wealth gap.
