Icy Williams, the chairwoman of the National Sustainability Coalition, has won numerous awards and recognition as a staunch supporter of diversity inclusion as a former associate director of supplier diversity at Procter & Gamble. In her role, she also assisted businesses achieve higher levels of performance and business growth. Last year, Williams was nominated as business mentor of the year by the Cincinnati business community.

Williams increased Procter & Gamble’s annual diverse spend goal to $2.5 billion by 2010. This aggressive initiative helped Hooven-Dayton grow its sales and develop its business both through capacity building and technological advancement.

With the NSC, Williams will help create a consortium of business development organizations in Ohio that will assist rolling out a sustainability training and technical assistance program across 88 counties. This will serve as a model to expand the program into other states.
