In addition to serving as manager of supply chain diversity at Office Depot, Shari Francis recently accepted the position of vice chairwoman of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s finance committee. She has been on the board of directors since 2007 and the finance committee since 2008. For the last two years, Francis has chaired the Florida Women’s Business Development Center’s annual conference, helping to double the event’s size and raise money on top of her treasurer duties.
Francis was responsible for the industry’s first Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Catalog, which is also Office Depot’s Diversity Products Catalog. She is the key reason Office Depot hosts an annual Vendor Open House.
Most recently, Office Depot began carrying MA Fox Enterprises’ unique product online and in catalogs following Francis’ mentoring of the company, which has not previously done business with a retailer like Office Depot.
