USPAACC Holds In-Person CelebrASIAN Business Conference to Boost Growth of Diverse Enterprises

In its continuing effort to help boost the growth of small and diverse businesses in the post-pandemic environment, the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC) recently hosted CelebrASIAN Business + Procurement Conference, its first in-person event in two years, held May 25 – 27, 2022 at the Grand Hyatt Washington in the nation’s capital.

CelebrASIAN is America’s largest and longest-running business development conference convened by Pan Asian American enterprises to connect with corporate America, government agencies in the federal, state and local levels, large nonprofits, diverse businesses, and with each other. It also ensures a more vibrant business environment that reflects diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Conference sponsors were led by Amazon and Google as Title Chairs, with Ampcus, Nationwide, Pyramid, T-Mobile, and Wells Fargo as Co-Chairs.

This year’s theme, SYNERGY FORWARD, speaks to the momentum created when people from different backgrounds come together for a common goal and to achieve great things. The Conference also put the spotlight on the achievements of Asian American businesses, made more meaningful as May was Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

The CelebrASIAN conference had a full house with more than 400 attendees, over 90 speakers, and two-and-a-half days of substantive programming.

USPAACC National President & CEO Susan Au Allen and her team noted the strong representation from their partners in Corporate America, government agencies, large nonprofits, and the diverse business community.

Among the highlights were the CPO Forum, Community Navigator Pilot Program Panel, Procurement Opportunity Center Program, Panels on Doing Business with Corporations and Federal Agencies, Fast 50 Asian American Business Awards, 1-on-1 Business Matchmaking Meetings, and the Excellence Awards Gala, where SBA Administrator Isabella Guzman spoke about further lending support to the small and diverse businesses community. MBDA Acting National Director Miguel Estien also talked about how to access capital.
