Since Lorrinda Gray-Davis, director of diversity for Perini Building, joined the company in 2005, it has become a leader in diversity initiatives with one of the most comprehensive diversity agendas in the construction industry.
From 2006 to January 2008, Perini awarded over $782 million in construction contracts to 349 minority and women-owned businesses. The most comprehensive diversity program Gray-Davis oversees is the CityCenter project in Las Vegas, worth approximately $9 billion.
A key alliance made by Gray-Davis was with the Nevada Minority Business Enterprise Center, which opened an office in Las Vegas in May 2007. In 2004, she was appointed to Arizona’s Equity in State Contracting Commission. She serves on the board of directors of the Women’s Business Enterprise Council regionally.
Gray-Davis was one of the speakers at the US-China Business Summit in January, sharing with over 1000 minority entrepreneurs from 47 states.
